There’s no doubt that effective
speaking can take any great leader a long way. The ability to connect with your
audience through effective speaking is a skill that is highly recommended in
industry. However, when speaking you can use various techniques that will help
ensure that your message is properly delivered.
Stacey Kramer is a Brand strategist who shares personal stories
to help motivate people to be the best they can be. Co-founder of Brand play, a
brand strategy firm, Stacey Kramer also founded Word for Word, a naming and
branding consultancy serving national and global companies -- from big,
recognizable names to next year's news making startups. In 2009, Kramer found
herself confronting a terrifying diagnosis: a CAT scan revealed she had a brain
tumor -- the size of a golf ball. She told her remarkable, personal story at
TED2010.

scale. From viewing the video, you can tell she used a structure form to make
sure her message was delivered accurately. She used her time effectively and
proper transitions when speaking.
